Welcome to Local Harvest Community Supported Agriculture!

We are a cooperative of New Hampshire organic farmers and producers entering our sixth year of providing our share-members with organic foods fresh from our New Hampshire farms.

How Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) Works

With Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), you pay the farmer in advance of the growing season for a share in the farm's harvest. This gives local farmers additional resources to pay for seeds, greenhouse supplies, heat & labor early in the season.

In return, you receive a steady supply of high-quality, locally grown, seasonally fresh food from June through October, at an affordable price. You know where your food comes from, you know who grows it, and you may visit our farms

But more happens:

There are about 1,000 CSAs in the United States, with over a dozen New Hampshire communities already participating.

Our farmers have a combined 100 years of farming experience. We think you'll find that Local Harvest CSA supports your own wishes for seasonally ripe, delicious, and nutritionally sound foods.

Veggie Orders
When the harvest is in full swing, we will offer bulk purchases of vegetables and fruits for canning or preserving, for large parties or gatherings you may be hosting, or for stocking up for winter storage.

The Farmers and You

At times throughout the growing season, farmers from Local Harvest CSA will be at the pick up site to answer questions or for conversation.

Also, at the end of the summer season, we hold our annual potluck dinner at the pick up site, to celebrate our community.

Where & When to Pick Up Shares

The produce will be ready for easy pick up each Wednesday from 2:30-6:00 PM at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Concord, located at 274 Pleasant St. You'll receive your share for 18 weeks, from mid-June until mid-October. The variety of vegetables will increase as the season reaches its peak. Please refer to the vegetable chart for type of produce and times of availability. Unclaimed shares will be donated to the Friendly Kitchen.

Optional Fall Share Plan will be available for five additional weeks, immediately following the summer program, from mid-October to mid-November. Information on the Fall Share will be available in late August.

Certified Organic

All the produce we provide to you is certified organic. That means instead of relying on chemicals, our farmers work with the cycles and forces of nature to grow our food. We use sustainable practices which build the health of the soil and promote biodiversity, leaving a legacy of true wealth for the future. Organic certification is your assurance that your food has been grown and handled with the strict standards and procedures of the USDA's National Organic Program.
